Call for Papers <Mater. Trans. Special Issue> “Nanostructured Functional Materials and Their Applications II”

The editorial committee of Materials Transactions is planning to publish a special issue on “Nanostructured Functional Materials and Their Applications II” as April 2018.
The committee would like to invite many contributions of original articles from around the globe for this special issue.

Objective and topics of coverage are as follows:
This special issue is a continuation of the previous special issue “Nanostructured functional materials and their applications” successfully published as vol. 56, No. 9 in 2015, which contained 40 excellent papers. The latest works after the above previous one will be collected in the current issue.
Nanostructured metals and ceramic materials often possess different properties from those of the bulk materials, which lead to the discoveries of many specific functions of the nanostructured materials. Such newly appeared properties have been widely applied to many industrial purposes. In order to summarize the recent progresses on nanostructured materials and expect the future expansion of this field, we collect the papers mainly with the following topics:
- Nanostructured magnetic, ferroelectric and piezoelectric materials
- Nanostructured semiconductors, hybrid and photonic materials
- Processing and characterization of nanostructured materials
- Applications of nanostructured materials
In addition to the open submissions in this special issue, we planned to publish selected papers of the satellite meeting of 4th International symposium on Frontiers in Materials Science (September 4-6, 2017 in Greifswald, Germany) prior to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in November 12-14, 2017.
